This page explains the cookies and similar technologies Quranzi currently uses.
This document is a template generated from how Quranzi currently works. It has not been reviewed or approved by a lawyer, and items marked “Owner to configure” must be completed by the Quranzi owner before production launch.
Summary
Quranzi currently uses essential and preference storage only. The app code does not include advertising cookies or third-party analytics or tracking scripts.
Essential and sign-in cookies
If you sign in, our authentication provider (Supabase) sets session cookies so you stay signed in and the server can recognise your account. These are necessary for account features.
Preference cookies
Choosing a translation language sets a first-party cookie that remembers your choice for up to one year.
Local storage and device storage
Quranzi stores your theme choice, reading and playback settings, and some saved items in your browser’s local storage. Offline Surahs and audio are kept in your browser’s IndexedDB and cache storage on your device. A service worker caches the app shell and some public Quran data for a limited time to support offline use. This data stays on your device and is not a cookie.
Analytics cookies
No analytics cookies are set. Signed-in listening and reading activity used for Insights is stored in your account data, not through tracking cookies; see the Privacy Policy.
Third-party cookies
Quranzi does not set third-party advertising cookies. If you sign in with Google or pay through a payment provider, those services may set their own cookies on their own pages.
Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will sign you out and may break account features.
